Services

There are services every Sunday and we also offer Messy Church on Monday’s and BCP Holy Communion on Wednesdays. The church is also open seven days a week for private prayer and reflection from 9am until dusk.

Sunday

8.00am Holy Communion

A traditional service using the traditional words of the Book of Common Prayer (1662).
Held on the first Sunday of the month.

10.00am Sung Eucharist

Our main service, with hymns, choir, sermon, and activities for children in the St Nicholas Chapel. We serve coffee and biscuits and stay on to chat afterwards.

5.00pm Choral Evensong

Book of Common Prayer sung service, led by the choir, with a KJV bible readings and a sermon. On the 3rd Sunday of the month. Followed by light refreshments.

Weekdays

Monday 3:30pm or after school

MESSY CHURCH, with arts, craft, activities and stories exploring themes of Christianity, Spirituality and the bible this is a great way for kids to spend some time after school having fun with friends, parents or carers. Great for ages 1-11.

7.30pm Sung Compline (Monthly)

20 minutes of stillness and chant, using one of the churches ancient night prayers.

In the chancel, typically on the last Wednesday of the month, check board for details and dates.

10.30am Wednesdays: Communion

Communion, coffee and cake. A service of holy communion following traditional language, with the option to stay on for coffee and conversation. particularly suitable for seniors.

Messy Church Sundays & All Age Services

All Age Services & Messy Church on a happens throughout the year. These shorter services, or Messy Church inspired services, are designed to accomodate younger worshippers, but welcome all ages too!

The St Nicholas Chapel

The St Nicholas Chapel is open for younger worshippers to explore faith, the church and to play. With crafts and activities relating to the topics of each Sunday. Open all week and during services.

Private prayer and reflection

Christ Church is usually open seven days a week (usually between 09.15 and dusk) for private prayer and reflection to all those who wish to come in.
