Bethany Reeves was the organ scholar at Brasenose College, Oxford from 2017-20, and at St Mary’s, Wimbledon from 2016-17. Bethany is currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama for a Masters in Piano Accompaniment, and previously studied music at Brasenose College, Oxford, where she held organ and academic scholarships. She plays 12 instruments, with grade 8 distinctions in 6 and an ATCL piano recital diploma. Bethany won the South East Schools Chamber Music Competition in 2015 & 2017, was awarded Wandsworth Young Musician of the Year in 2015, and had one of her compositions played by the Royal Opera House Orchestra and at the BAFTA awards in 2012. Whilst at Oxford, Bethany enjoyed playing tennis for the university and playing in musical theatre pit bands and in various other musical groups, including playing tenor saxophone in the Oxford University Jazz Orchestra and funk band Garfunkel. Bethany is an instrumental and music theory teacher, and volunteers for a variety of groups and charities, including Sing Inside and Turtle Key Arts, helping to bring music to those who are disabled or disadvantaged in the community or to those in prison. She also runs a weekly choir for KEEN Oxford, and is the head rep of the SolidariTee team at Guildhall. Aside from music, Bethany enjoys painting and pottery, and running her homemade cards business, Bethany Ella Cards, which raises money for KEEN.
